MIA’s programs are designed to create an empowering and supportive community for women of color interested in pursuing academic and professional careers in the aquaculture industry.

If you are a woman of color currently pursuing a career in aquaculture or studying in an aquaculture-related field, we welcome you to become an M.I.A. member. (And membership is free!)

Becoming a member gives you access to a network of academic and industry professionals who will provide an array of knowledge about aquaculture, as well as career opportunities.  Your M.I.A. membership helps build our community of like-minded, passionate aquaculture professionals and students. Each member who joins strengthens our commitment to the development of a diverse, inclusive local and global seafood industry.
