OUR flagship program is our tailored summer internships, launched in 2022 to create meaningful career development opportunities for individuals in aquaculture & maritime. Designed to align with each participant's interests, these internships offer a hands-on, immersive experience across various sites, exposing interns to the innovative practices shaping the industry.

By rotating through multiple roles and environments, interns gain comprehensive knowledge, build valuable skills, and develop a clearer path for their unique career aspirations. Our program empowers individuals to thrive in aquaculture while fostering A dynamic future for the field.

HOW IT WORKS

APPLICATIONS

Interested participants can submit their applications between February 1 - march 1.

INTERVIEW PROCESS

Our team will conduct interviews to identify candidates who are the best fit for MIA’s Internship Program.

MATCHING

Selected interns will be paired with our partner organizations based on their interests, goals, and the organization’s needs.

IINTERN ORIENTATION

The program kicks off with an orientation in June 2026, designed to prepare interns for a successful and enriching experience.

INTERNSHIP DURATION

The internship spans 8 weeks, offering immersive, hands-on opportunities to gain valuable skills and industry knowledge.
